Confirmed exploit and architectural governance failure make this a high-risk position with poor value accrual; avoid until post-incident remediation (multisig, timelock) is independently verified.

Protocol Health: Is Wasabi Still Growing?

Wasabi's vitality risk score is 8/10 on Hindenrank's rubric (lower is healthier). Investors should monitor whether this trend reverses before increasing exposure.

Weekly Commentary

Pro

Week of May 19, 2026

Wasabi remains in post-exploit limbo following the April 30, 2026 incident in which an AWS Spring Boot Actuator misconfiguration exposed the deployer private key, enabling instant UUPS proxy upgrades and draining .5-5.9M across four chains. As of mid-May 2026, no post-mortem has been published, no multisig migration or meaningful timelock activation has been confirmed on-chain, and no final compensation plan has been announced. TVL has stabilized near $1.3M — predominantly on Solana, which was unaffected by the exploit — with EVM chains near-zero. The D+ risk grade reflects unremediated governance architecture; the risk will not improve materially until multisig admin controls with genuine timelock delays are verified independently.
